What does 5 years old look like?
This kid.
Nick celebrated his 5th birthday at Smallwoods a couple of weeks ago in typical Nick fashion. Non-stop energy, a mid-party meltdown, unmatched eagerness for sprinting through the tricky prop-maze, shirtless enthusiasm in the petting zoo, unmatched hops in the bouncy house, and of course, no party would be complete without a wild ride on the cow train.
Naturally we had dirt cake with a side of cookies to ensure that everyone would be as wired as possible!
A few fun facts about five year old Nick:
*His favorite things to play are: Wooden Blocks & Irrigation Pipes (PVC)
*He would watch TV for all his waking hours if given unfettered access to a remote
*He is getting quite skilled at driving a 4 wheeler
*He is already showing his big heart for taking care of his family-he is eager to help, likes to do his own cooking, takes on any repair task with zeal (and a whole lot of tools he stole from dad!), & adores his little sister. His wife and children will be so blessed someday!
*His energy stretches me most days, but his sweet heart absolutely compels me to drum up more energy and patience nearly every time he drains both of those. Notice I said 'nearly every time'. I'm human, and he seems to have super-human energy!
Happy 5 years of LIFE Nick! We love you!
