This is one of a few trips to Lake Roosevelt this year for our family-but this time we were also with Grandpa Tom, Grandma Heidi, & the Miller family. So much fun was had!
The weather was great, the water where we camped was 75 degrees, the bees were minimal, no boat break-downs.....success!
Some highlights:
*We brought the dinghy-Kevin gave all the boys several rides and they loved it when he turned it around and around in circles and said "Oh no we're stuck in a whirlpool!"
*Nick was sitting in a chair and felt a bug tickle his leg-he panicked a little and brushed it off quickly. Then, he sat there looking irritated and said "Yah Juhk Spidah" (You Jerk Spider)
*Milo was in the water by about 7:30 each morning and didn't stop for much until it was time for bed-the benefit of 75 degree water temps!
*We made the usual trip to anchor and swim at the rocks. It's so pretty there
*We had no boat troubles
*Nick went for his first tube ride and loved it
*Nick spotted a frog swimming by and said "Look! A little swimmah thingy!!" We caught it and put it in a bucket for a couple hours for observation:)
Here is a photo recap of the fun:
Loved every bit of our family weekend. These will be special memories not only for us, but the kids as well. :)
